I was not in the mood for this workout. I started slowly and was in agony for the first mile. Not in pain. In bored agony. I just wanted the run to be over.
For the second mile I upped the pace. And challenged myself to hold the new pace for the remainder of the mile. It worked. I was challenged and vested. I lasted the rest of the mile at the new pace.
On the third mile I slowed it down but got bored again so I increased towards the end.
My end pace for the entire run wasn't great, but it wasn't horrible.
