My uncle Robert was kind enough to send me some cash as a Christmas gift. In his card he told me to buy something for the house. I was sweating the purchase for a while... there are many things that we need but I didn't want to use gift cash for utility purchases.
After much internal debate I settled on something that will bring me a much-needed creative outlet and will bring the house some much-needed color: paint and canvas.
I bought four 6 foot x 5 foot canvases and a boatload of paint. My intention was to paint something and send pictures to uncle Robert as a thank you card, but I've been rather tardy in beginning my composition.
So, uncle Robert, thank you. I will share my art with everybody as soon as I create it. I've been in a rather business-based mindset for about a year and I will appreciate the creative outlet. The canvases are in the basement. I plan to make a large easel to paint on.
Will these works of art become family heirlooms? Only time will tell but I do suppose I should learn how to paint in order to increase the chances that they will.
