Related Links Web Log Technology

I've been working on some Related Links
technology.

Concept: A person's life does not fit
into a single log entry. A person's life
is not linear. There are threads. There
are backstories. There are themes. There
are subplots. These things need to be
reflected in a web log.

Plan: I've written a piece of tech that
watches the types of words that you use
in a log entry and then finds related
articles, listing them at the bottom of
the page.

Trouble: It's hard to do.

Current status: I've launched the
technology on joereger.com so that I can
improve it. Currently the links that the
tech presents are relevant but not in an
obvious manner. I have a few ideas re:
how to improve it. Thanks for your
patience while I do so.

Risk: That I have launched too early and
that you, the valued readers of the site,
will quickly decide not to look at the
related links. Even though they'll
improve, you won't be clicking them
because of your initial experiences with
them.
