It's a tradition of mine that every time I get a new car I drive it around the Atlanta perimeter. I've done it with every car I've driven: Olds Calais. Honda Accord. M3. M3. And now the Boxster.
I was delighted to have the lovely Heather with me this time.
We rode the first portion from Tucker to my Mom's house so that we could do a training swim for about an hour. Then we rode the rest all the way back to Tucker. I'm not sure if this splitting of the trip is breaks the rules but since I make the rules I'll say that it is not a violation but it is discouraged.
We met with some rain late in the ride. We pushed through and barely made it to Target where we bought Heather some new swim goggles. The minute we got inside the sky opened. Driving home it was pouring. Luckily we had put the top up just before going into Target.
The car feels good. Not very fast. Not very tight. Which is good. The convertible is fun. The seats aren't very comfortable... or I haven't found the comfortable spot. It's a good change of pace for me. I find that I'm not driving anywhere near as fast as I was.
We (I) set the alarm off in the Target parking lot while trying to get in under the pouring rain. I have no idea how the alarm works. The remote key seems to have no effect.
I also have no idea how the radio works yet. Haven't had any time to play with it.
