Moab/Fruita/SLC Sausagefest on Wheels 2003
The Moab/Fruita/SLC Sausagefest on Wheels 2003 was a one week
mountain biking tour of choice spots in
Utah and Colorado. Organized via just a few emails, this trip
came off without a hitch.
The stats: 7 people, 2 states, 3 riding towns, 2 rented
trucks, 8 rides, many wipeouts, hundreds of
beers, 1 hook up, 0 punches thrown, 1 mustache, 1 women's tank
top, 1 belly shirt, 1 tassle shirt, tens
of flat tires, 1 broken crank set and frame, 2 trips to Wings
& Things, 1 search and rescue, 2 rainy
nights, 1
dent in truck, 1 freak out on a waiter, 76 hours without a
shower, thousands of audible farts, 2 karaoke
singers, 1 open belly sore on a waitress, 1 lesbian waitress,
>=3 people who saw the Milky Way galaxy
with their own eyes for the first time, 1200 vertical feet
longest climb, 2 Doms, 1 double-nut-rack-to-elbow-transition.
