Got the Last Couple Tasks Done Late

If you've worked with me you've probably seen my lists.
Every morning I spend a little time reflecting on the
previous day and looking ahead at the current day. The
outcome of this time is a punch list. Little square boxes
on the left and a description of what needs to be done on
the right.

The first two on today's list were carryovers from
yesterday. They were the main things I wanted to do today.

There were also seven other things to do.

As I started the day I was more interested with some of the
things further down on the list... so I did them first.
Then a few unforseen things came up... did them.

I kept looking at the top two. I even started on them a
couple times. I just wasn't motivated to complete them.

So they sat there. Incomplete.

Even though I wanted them to be done.

I thought that maybe they'd take an hour. When it came time
to workout tonight I assumed that I'd just roll them to
tomorrow. I had a productive day.

But after working out I was annoyed that I didn't get these
two things done.

So I did them.

Took about three minutes.

Not kidding. Three minutes. I spent ten times that trying
to work on them. Thinking about them.

But I didn't have the motivation to get them done before.
That's one of the nice things about the list. There's
always enough to do. Something always piques my interest.
And when things have to be done, I get them done. Otherwise
I simply trust that every task will have its time when I'm
motivated to get it done.
