Porsche Sale Complete
I never believe that a sale is complete until the money is in the bank.
Well, I cashed the check on Saturday when I shipped the car to New York but
still didn't believe it was done. This morning I got an email from the buyer
saying "Good condition, I'm very pleased overall." He got the car and is
happy with it.
So I guess the sale of the Boxster is complete. Very happy
about this. Not the most practical of cars for me. And I need all the bucks
I can get to fund the rapid expansion of reger.com. You know... paying for
stuff like the corporate helicoptor, the new video conferencing center and
sales team's annual Hawaiian vacation... oh, and also for stuff like my
mortgage,
groceries and power bill.
It took about three months to sell it. And get this... I applied a lesson I
learned from selling the BMW M3. (Look maw, iza teacherable monkey.) I was
willing to come down in price sooner rather than later. I forget how long I
took calls on the M3 but it was long. I had a lot of "almost deals" with the
M3. But with the Boxster everything went a lot smoother. Two or three
people really persued it and one got it.
In the end I got a few bucks over blue book for it. Not bad in this market.
Oh, and my penis is back to being large again. (Porsches cause penis
shrinkage.)
