2004 Tour de France - Stage 2

AMAnother fairly uneventful stage from a Lance perspective. What is certain, however, is that USPS must be very attentive in these early stages. These are the risk management stages. These are the stages to conserve. None of the big teams are making any moves. Everybody's content to let Fassa Botrtolo set the tempo. Everybody's content to let the sprinters take the stage. Oddly, despite apparently good leadouts, Petacchi isn't winning the spring for Fassa Bortolo. He cremed everybody at the Giro d' Italia... where is he now? On to the next stage! Go Lance.
