Dean Christmas 2004

We headed out to VR for the Dean family Christmas. We had some great food and a great time seeing everybody. We do a gift lottery system. Everybody brings a "Guy" gift or a "Girl" gift. All the gifts are put into a pile and people pick one at random from their respective gender's pile. Hilarity ensues. Rusty got a car wash. David got a shredder gizmo. Flashlights galore.

The mood this year was a little subdued because the matriarch, Mamaw is in the hospital recovering from a spill. The underlying sense of family is always there and an appreciation of the season is clearly apparent.

After everybody left Heather, Beep, Ball and I exchanged gifts. I gave the Deans a bonsai tree. Hopefully that's something they'll enjoy.

Thanks to Beep and Ball for putting everything together and hosting the evening. The food was wonderful. The discussions were great.
