Rainy Day

Rainy day with some thunderstorms. I love the thunderstorms. They're not hitting me directly right now, but I hear them in the distance.

Low key day so far. Some email support. Some dev stuff. Some decaf coffee. Not bad. Trying to decompress from the last few weeks of work.

Update: Whoa! Big ass bolt of lightning right out the window where I'm working. Need to get those surge protectors installed.

Update 7:05PM: Had some hail today. We had two massive thunderclaps earlier today. I unplugged a lot of stuff and grabbed the video recorder. I opened the upstairs deck and recorded some of the rain and thunder. All of a sudden the sky opened up. Massive rain. And we had nickel-diameter hail. About a three minute storm. Massive amounts of water. Then it cleared and ten minutes later there were blue skies.

Now, this evening, we're getting more hail. Smacking the crap out of the house. Some thunderclaps. When I got out of the gym there was this amazing dark cloud on one side of the sky and perfect blue on the other side. In the middle was the boundary highlighted by the sun, which made for amazing orange and pink tones. I stopped walking to the car and took a minute to appreciate it. Very beautiful.
