Cut My Hand
I cut my hand open last night. I'm good with knives in the kitchen. Maybe something to do with the gin and tonic I had been drinking :) Straight through the skin to the point that little fat cells were showing. I grabbed the video camera, which was in the kitchen already (how lucky is that?), and hit record. A few seconds after I stopped the video the bleeding began. I then wandered around the house for a couple minutes looking for bandaids and the like, eventually settling on some gaffer's tape and gauze. Lots of neosporin. This morning I took some pictures of it. I need to make a run to Target to get some dressings. The moral of the story: don't drink and do kitchen work.
Update 2:06PM: As Heather told Julie today: "That's what happens when you mix gin, knives and onions."
Update 2:31PM: Thanks to Leon who recommended Superglue!
Here it is. I'll trek to Target in a few.
Update 3:51PM: So Leon recommended CVS for some liquid bandage. I headed out and got some. Essentially a form of medical superglue. I did see some products that were watered-down, but this stuff seems to be close to the real superglue. If it doesn't hold I'll get some real superglue and give it a shot.
