Another Friday is here. It's 7:46AM.

Yesterday was spent grappling with the challenge of uniting advanced search and graphing. I went back and forth about three times. Started coding and then backed out of it. Never the right approach. It never ceases to amaze me how a night of sleep can cement the best approach and clafiry things. This morning I know exactly what has to be done. It's like my brain was defragmented. So I'll get going on that.

I've got to call in regarding my lawsuit today to see what's up. Haven't heard anything or had time to check in.

This evening I am going to a real estate awards dinner with Heather. Looking forward to it.

Before that I'd like to get a run in... maybe 45 minutes. I didn't workout yesterday because I thrashed my calves on the, well, calf machine I guess. Trying to hold back a bit on the run so that I don't agitate the IT band injury, but I do have to increase the distance because I have the early-season half ironman Gulf Coast Tri coming up.

That's about it for now.

Update 7:56AM: I recalled another piece of it just now while washing my face. I wake up a lot throughout the night because I drink a ton of water, especially at night. Each time I wake up my thoughts immediately jump into whatever challenge I have, like the advanced search/graphing thing. I pee and then drift asleep thinking about the challenge. It's not like I try to do this... it just happens. Throughout the evening it seems that I get closer and closer to a solution, refining it each pee stop. Then, as I wake up slowly I spend more time in a half-awake state putting things together.

Update 12:16PM: Dammit. I need to shut down email. Got off track. Started with a 15 minute break to setup a cafepress store and now I've blown 45 minutes. Damn communications. Only have until 2:30PM when I have to go run. Early so that I can get to Heather's real estate awards dinner tonight in Carrollton, GA, about an hour and a half outside the city.

Update 3:49PM: Went for a run. Took a shower. Going to get a little more work done and then I'm heading out to Heather's thing. Overall good progress today. The graphing infrastructure is coming together nicely. Probaby a day or two more and I'll be there. Then maybe some testing. Then a soft launch to collect issues. Then a full launch.

Update 3:52PM: Crap. Just checked the traffic reports and it's a Xxxkfest of parking lot out there on the roads. Damn. Now I'm gonna have to leave a little earlier than expected. Luckily the iPod is charged and loaded. Crap. I have to iron a shirt. Or not.
