Awake on Saturday
So I'm up. Good night's sleep. Web servers still running which is always nice. Even though I test a lot more than I used to I always expect things to hit the fan. Looks like a stunningly beautiful day out. Heather's meeting Julie at the gym so I'm gonna tag along to get some swimming done. Maybe some weights too. Got some errands to run today. For one, have to buy some tequila.
Update 11:52AM: Back from the gym. Good swim with Heather. Really liking this notion of having one entry that I update with little timestamps throughout the day. Doesn't clutter the homepage but keeps a nice running update. Would like to formalize the timestamping feature at some point. Off to shower and then I think we're running some errands.
Update 5:24PM: Grabbed lunch at Arby's. We went to Lenox mall to do some shopping. And to Dick's Sporting Goods. And to the package store for some tequila. We're back home and both a little tired.
Update 10:24PM: I actually got away from the computer... kinda. I got away from the work computer and played some Half Life 2 on the basement graphics computer. Been trying to break away to play for about two weeks now. And I created some playlists on the iPod for tomorrow's ride. Nice. Ate some burgers to fuel up. Drinking a good bit of water. Packed the bike into the car. Packed my bag of gear. Almost ready to go to sleep, although I'm not tired.
Update 11:50PM: Did some IT band rolling on the foam roller that Julie had me get. Went online to get some instructions. Found http://www.mindfulness.com/of5.asp and http://www.performbetter.com/catalog/assets/Exercisesheets/PDF/FoamRoller.pdf Basically, a few minutes twice a day. It hurts. Hopefully that's a sign of a lot of fascial release in the muscle fibers. We'll see. Saturday Night Live is on. The minivan is packed with the bike and gear. The alarm is set. My last night as a twenty-something.
