Possible Weekend Storm Late March 05

So I'll start this entry to track this storm that's coming in tonight... in theory. This morning they predicted it as being here at 6PM. Now they're predicting it'll be here at 3:00AM. They look like fairly strong storm fronts.

Update 9:57PM: Here's what weather.com is saying:

Tonight: Partly cloudy skies early with heavy thunderstorms developing overnight. A few storms may be severe. Low 58F. Winds SE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 80%.

Tomorrow: Morning heavy rain followed by scattered strong thunderstorms in the afternoon. Storms may produce large hail and strong winds. High 72F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 80%.

Hail. Sweet. Riding in the hail would be new. I've skied in hail. Skydived in hail. Probably played soccer in hail. Hiked in hail. Driven in hail. Stayed on a phone conference with web consulting client Motorola while my brand new (two weeks old) BMW m3 got hammered by hail... that was in '99. Sat in the 180 room and listened to hail fall a couple weeks ago. Decent history with hail... why not add to it tomorrow? We'll see how the Giro Atmos helmet holds up to hail.

Update 10:05PM: Nice graphic from Accuweather.

Update 10:42PM: Just heard my first thunderclap. Far, far away, but it's coming. Nothing for a few minutes now, but it's coming!

Update 11:36PM: Starting to rain. Thunder claps every few minutes. Nothing big yet.

Update 11:43PM: First lightning flash. Things seem to be picking up a bit.

Update 8:45AM (Sunday): Lame. Not much of a storm around our house. Some rain most of the night, but little else. Too bad.

Update 8:52AM: It looks like the first front basically broke up and missed us. Weather.com is now saying:

Scattered thunderstorms during the morning becoming more widespread and possibly severe this afternoon. High 71F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 70%.

We may get some of the second front. They predict scattered thunderstorms around noon and then strong storms at about 3PM. I'm thinking I'll hit the trail at around noon then, riding until 4 or so.
