Fat Monday April 11th, 2005

It's 7:30AM: I weigh 170lbs. Kinda miffed that I've wiped out a month and a half of work with one weekend of eating and not working out. But I also know that there's really no way I've eaten enough calories to add 10 lbs to me. I'd have to have eaten 35000 calories. Most of the weight is water weight and physical food-in-the-gut weight. It's actually a good idea to saturate my muscles in glucose for a little while.

But still. Feeling fat. Weight obsession? Not so much. Performance anxiety, more like. Couple of early season races in a few weeks. Ten lbs is a lot of extra weight.

So far today I've packed the bike into the minivan, freed up memory on the Polar HRM and charged the iPod Mini. You know what that means: Comet ride today.

But that's the least exciting thing happening, by far. We're going to fetalfotos to see Alie! In about two and a half hours! Can't wait! 3D ultrasound technology in the house!

Update 11:59AM: Wow! What an experience! Quick summary here. Re-verified girlness and got some amazing footage. The video is converting right now. It'll take about an hour to rip off of the DVD and then I'll convert it to quicktime. Probably just a couple clips to start along with some stills. Then bike ride and full video tonight. We got 27 minutes of ultrasound action!

Update 12:03PM: I know I shouldn't be working on my day off. Heh. But maybe I can go to Best Buy to get a better microphone. I'm going to start doing a bunch of reger.com demos and need a mic that doesn't sound tinny.

Update 12:04PM: I'm way behind on the datablogging/structuredblogging conversation that Marc Canter and others are having. I need to get caught back up tonight with some replies. Too much to do. Frustrating, I need to be taking part.

Update 10:28PM: Ok, got some video and pics uploaded. Did a ride on the Comet. Ate dinner with Heather. Now we're watching 24 on TiVo. Then it's off to bed.

After the ride I weighed in at 158.5 lbs. I lost 11.5 lbs today! Wow. Obviously mostly water weight, but still... that's a shocking amount.
