Trip to All3Sports

Headed to All3Sports, the greatest tri shop in the known and unknown universe. My front shifting cable had begun to dig into the frame bracket a little. Patrick and the team whipped me into shape despite being rather busy. I saw Bill and Sara, out buying stuff for tomorrow's century ride. Sara's got to work on her sister's wedding and won't be there in person... but she'll be there in spirit. Bill will be there in person... with CO2 cartriges. Always good to see the team at All3sports. Those guys and girls rock! Great gear and great service. They charged me $3.19 and then attempted to decline a $5 tip... even after sneaking out I felt like I got the better end of the deal. My bike now shifts wonderfully and I got a new shifting cable out of it. The Cervelo P3 Carbon is the cat's ass. I also checked out a Cervelo Soloist (not carbon... not out yet). The upcoming 06 carbon soloist would make a nice road bike. I'm doing more and more road biking around the house where aerobars and bar-end shifters are less than ideal. Of course, to get a carbon soloist I'll need to sell my Adidas retro shoe collection... which isn't likely to happen any time soon. Ah, gear. So snuggly. So warm. If only it made us ride as fast as it makes us feel good.
