Had to be done. Great form factor. The shuffle works wonderfully for workouts but as I've mentioned a couple times here it's hard to do audiobooks with it. On long rides I've been missing the audiobooks. The 3G or 4G iPods are a little more than I want to carry on a workout. The Mini was actually fine, but mine got doused in post-workout water bottle output and never came back to life. So when they put the power of the Mini into something much smaller and with a color screen, I jumped. It's also got strong podcasting support which helps me with reger.com. They're hard to find. I called a number of places late in the week. All sold out. But the Apple Store had them this morning. I will likely take mine back. After paying $60+ for the apple care warranty I read the fine print and realized that it's much less inclusive than the Best Buy extended warranty. So far I'm on my third iPod Shuffle thanks to the Best Buy extended warranty. Something about sweat and electronics. The Best Buy warranty only costs $20 or so. But Best Buy doesn't have them in stock right now. I could have waited, but with the traveling next week I wanted some nice podcasting support for the plane. I have fifteen days to return it. I've put some pictures onto it. iTunes automatically shrinks them so you're only actually using up thumbnail levels of space. It's kind of neat to flip through pictures of Ava while listening to Metallica. Happy so far with the Apple Nano.
