NASCAR Napping for Talladega Fall 05 Race
Got home after the drive back from Brasstown Valley. Ava and Heather are still slightly possibly maybe sick so they're still staying in Villa Rica. I got the computer set up. Checked some email. Planned for the week ahead a little (trip to San Francisco for the Web 2.0 Conference, various workouts). Then I realized that, very abnormally, I was at home on a Sunday afternoon. NASCAR time! I checked the website. 'Dega, man! Talladaga! And as I turned on the t.v. it was lap 4 of 188! I settled into the race a bit. Did some technical reading with it on in the background. Then I fell into a light nap for a few hours. NASCAR played prominently in the dream. Actually, this is odd. I dreamt that Heather and I went up to All3Sports. As she was getting her bike serviced I was watching NASCAR on a couch in the front of the store. Have at it psychoanalysts!
My boy, Jimmie Johnson, the #48 Lowe's car, screwed the goat no less than twice on the day. Pretty bad race for him. A number of big dramatic wrecks. In the end it was Dale Jarrett taking the checkered flag from Gayboy... I mean, Tony Stewart... in a high speed yellow finish.
Lazy Sundays watching NASCAR... gotta love it.
