It's 2:07AM. Since I worked out from 10:30-11:30PM I'm now up. And I drank a coffee around 6PM. Since I've had all of four cups of coffee in the last thirteen years I'm fairly sensitive to it. I was just busy with work and feeling a cold/flu come on so I wanted a boost. Just some barely recognizable congestion in my head... just a little heavy feeling. After midnight I went to Kroger to buy some ColdEeze zinc lozenges... apparently with the magical power of cutting the length of the common cold in half. This seems like it should be a 24 hour bug so I'm hoping I'll be better in 12 hours.

Weather is fairly nasty by Atlanta standards. Rain/sleet. While I was on the bike I kept the doppler up on one of the monitors, watching the snow/rain line move towards Atlanta. Probably won't get here. Oh well.

Structured blogging is getting a nice bump from Marc Canter and Bob Wyman's efforts at the Syndicate Conference. Good work gentlemen!

So far the feedback on the new Reger.com homepage has been positive. It still needs some work... mostly in the simplification of the content tree... there's just too much cruft out there right now.

Update 3:29AM: Still up. Getting a little tired.

Update 5:11AM: Still up. I tried to get to sleep but Ava had a little crying fit so I walked her around and when she went to sleep I wrote a blog entry about identity and types of data.

It's raining out. Every now and then we hear a crashing sound. I think it's ice falling onto the house... it's cold enough outside. The power went out for a few seconds not too long ago.

I've taken the zinc lozenges... my head still feels heavy and wasn't that comfortable when I tried to get to sleep.

Update 5:14AM: Just realized that I have a Daily Show with Jon Stewart on TiVo... last night's was probably a good one with Bush saying he's responsible for acting on bad intelligence. Jon's been on him to say that for years. Still, I'm sure Bush'll take it in the comedic seat of the pants at the hands of the verbally-agile Stewart.

Can't see turning on the TV now with Ava and Heather asleep.

Update 5:20AM: Just looked out the window and... ICE STORM!!! The trees are all coated in 1/8 in of ice. When the wind blows we hear a caucophony of ice pieces hitting the roof and deck. Sweet!

Update 2:32PM: Let's see... power went out. Got some sleep. Power came back on but internet was down. Internet came back up. I blogged a bit on the structured blogging frenzy happening right now. Made some calls to clients. Instant messaged to a few folks. Hung out with Ava and Heather who are staying off the streets today. And now I'm starting to get a little tired again. But I need to get some actual work done today. Code city baby! And maybe a shower.
