Tornado Near House

I had just gotten out of the shower when I noticed that the ambient light outside had taken on a new shade. It was dark, but beautiful. Deep, rich clouds created a purple landscape. I stepped out onto the front deck from the upstairs bedroom. The wind was all blowing in one direction. Strong and consistent. I told Heather to look out the other side of the house to see if a tornado was coming... exact words.

She didn't see one. I ran downstairs to get my camera and then back up to take some shots. The wind died down quickly.

A few minutes later Heather's father called asking us if we were safe. He had seen a tornado warning for the Tucker area. We turned on the TV and they said it was on 29, heading east. Couldn't have been far from us and I guarantee that the wind we experienced was associated with the storm.
