5AM Drive to Villa Rica to Get Bikes

I wasn't sleeping well last night. Got up at 3AM and read some email/rss feeds. Headed back to bed where Terp was up too. Aves was asleep. We talked in a whisper for an hour about Terp's new Highlander that she's picking up tomorrow... financing options, etc. Then we talked about plans for the trip to Florida for the race and Heather realized that she and Rusty hadn't gotten their bikes into Atlanta for me to take to Florida in the minivan. Doh. I have a lot to do today and tomorrow so I wasn't excited about a daytime trip to VR (2 hrs) so Heather recommended that we leave immediately... at 5AM! Ok, fine... we're off! Grabbed a biscuit for Rusty and were at his house at 6AM. Put the bikes on the roof of the minivan. Headed to Heather's office for some paperwork she needed. Then home-ish. Actually, sat in traffic for a while. Finally broke through I285 and the Connector. Close to home I stopped at a Publix to get a few items. By the time we made it home I had to pee. Aves was cool with it. So now I've been up since 3AM and in a few minutes we're going to the dealership to pick up Terp's new ride. Apparently the paperwork is ready for a sign-n-dash but I'm skeptical and figure that we'll be there a couple hours.

And this time I didn't drive the bikes into the garage... we set phone alarms and recited "bikes on top" "bikes on top" "bikes on top" for the last five minutes of the drive. Sheesh, you smash $8K worth of bikes into a garage one time and you're branded for life.
