Comcast was back at the house again this morning. Very nice guy. By replacing a bunch of connectors at wire ends we went from 31db to 29db. Bigger is better... oh well. He said that my high band has a bunch of noise in it but he wasn't sure why. And he couldn't spend all day debugging it. Internet and cable are working right now but I'm betting that it'll start flickering again tonight. Next step is to have them replace the line that runs from the street to the house. Good news is that Comcast seems willing to spend any amount of money required to keep me as a customer. The tech said that they're sending people out all over town even though they know that many of them don't have problems inside their houses... lightning has taken out a bunch of centralized equipment. Anyhow, online... for now.
Update 11:30PM: Went over to Matt and Kendy's amazing new house for dinner. That place is amazing! Very nice new diggs! Matt made some pasta and a meat sauce that was excellent. Sr absconded with a crying Aves. Thanks for having us over guys!
