Update 4:16AM: Yes, 4:16AM... I'm still up. I had some Red Bull before my swim. Then the only gels I had were 1X and 2X caffeine. So I'll be up until... Sunday.
I convinced Comcast to replace a key (and large) line from the street to the house. Neighbors will move a vehicle tomorrow (now today) and the Comcast guy will bring out a crew to replace it. This is the last possible piece of wire that can be replaced. I've already upgraded everything in the house to super mega thick cable wire myself. He said that the signal at the street is strong but that there's some dropoff getting to the house. This is something of a victory because I'm tired of watching tv with three seconds of black every couple minutes. And of intermittent internet disconnections. Fingers crossed we'll be back on track with Comcast tomorrow (today).
Getting a haircut in three hours and fourty minutes. Not sure if I'll end up getting any sleep tonight. We'll see.
Good news is that I've spent the evening working. Well, actually, my father came over to hang out and we watched a Frontline special about the Taliban. Then Heather, Ava and I watched Grey's Anatomy. I tried to sleep for an hour or so and then got up to work. Made some progress. Wide awake right now.

Update 5:14AM: Feeling a bit sleepy. In the 180 Room working. It's the time of year when the walnuts fall, making loud unexpected thumps on the roof.
Update 7:17AM: Put my head down for about 30 minutes, didn't get much sleep... mostly watched Ava sleep. Took a shower. Heading out to get a haircut.
Update 9:22AM: Back from getting my hair cut. Talked to the Comcast guy who'll be here soon. Was planning on heading out to Villa Rica to get some work done on the real estate thing for Terp and Beep but a) I will likely be exhausted soon and b) the Comcast guy isn't exactly sure when he'll be here. But I can get some work done here and ship it out to them digitally.
Update 10:59AM: Roland from Comcast replaced the wire in no time flat. Bumped the signal from -12dBmV to -6dBmV which is good. I won't know if it fixed the cable tv issue until the evening when it usually goes on the blink. But the internet is running and I have a much fatter wire coming to the house... something I've wanted for about four months now.
Update 5:27PM: Got a bunch of work of my own done. Then Terp and I did a GoToMeeting screen sharing session to work on some of her stuff. Then I went for a run. Still awake but I did cheat with a cup of coffee around 2:30PM... hoping this doesn't keep me up all night again. Gotta hop into the shower before Terp and Ava get here... it's MexiFriday and Terp needs a margarita!
Update 5:31PM: Oh, and the internet still seems to be bouncing up and down. Annoying. Terp & Aves are on The Connector... I've gotta shower now.
