Speaker Scam

PMI was approached by three average looking
teenagers while filling my car up with gas
today. They wanted me to buy some home
speakers that they had gotten for free.
Their story was that their boss put the
speakers into their van for delivery
accidentally. So they intended to sell them.

I told them that I wasn't interested. I'm
more than happy to pay extra for things
like "legal", "warranty" and "service."

They saw my skydiving license plate holder
and said that they'd been. They weren't
lying and had been to Thomaston so I invited
them out to the dropzone for some jumps.

If they show up they'll have to prove to me
that they're legit.

I couldn't figure out what their scam was,
but I know that it was there. Maybe the
boxes were empty. Maybe they were stolen.
Maybe something else.

Funny. Everybody's trying to make a buck.
