PMGuy Kawasaki visits bicycle maker Trek. Nice photos. We met Guy in Silicon Valley at his hockey rink to talk dNeero. He said it was retarded. I disagreed. We argued for an hour and then flew home. My response, a year later: Truemors, who's retarded now? Lol... just kidding Guy. But you did spend $12k to do something stupid... I spent a heck of a lot less than that. At this point dNeero is certainly a much bigger flop than Truemors. But then again, we didn't have the Kawasaki name effect to float our terd into the public eye. I'd be willing to bet that given the same media attention dNeero would stand tall against Truemors. I do like the move they're making to Facebook though.

Looking at GK's video and your dNeero, I think the both of you are equally pathetic. Joe, between being a blogger-head and exhibitionist, you have lost it somewhere, somehow. Looking at dNeero, the whole concept is so bizarre...I mean what's the value to me? Three bucks? Not interested!!!!

Hi Optional, if that's your real name. What's the value for you? First, money. They fact that you're fabulously wealthy doesn't concern me. A few bucks off a movie for a college kid is big. We'll get higher-budget researchers that pay more eventually. There's a financial incentive. Second, you get to share your opinion on a topic with your readers. Yes, you can do this without dNeero. But with the widget embedded into your blog you can see how readers from only your blog answered the same questions. Third, there's an attribution/credentialing layer to the system that rewards influential bloggers with high levels of impact. Fourth, many people are excited to take part in the development of a product or service. Many people are positive individuals who like to contribute... to have a conversation. Thanks for stopping by and thanks for telling me that you're not interested in a snarky tone. dNeero allows you to do the exact same think while earning a couple bucks and engaging your readership. Joe
