06:06:06 PM: Aves is sick. She's got a fever and is unhappy with everything.
06:33:20 PM: Big day for Bug today. I put in one of those radio fences. He's been escaping every other day and I'm tired of chasing him down in the middle of the night. Bug wears a collar and, in theory, gets shocked when he gets too close to the perimeter. Only problem so far is that I've seen him standing over the line with his collar beeping/shocking. He didn't seem to notice. So maybe the electrodes aren't connecting with his skin or something. I'll work on it some more tomorrow.
07:21:42 PM: I want my genetic info. I'd also like my parents, Heather's parents, Heather and Ava to have it done. But that's $7k for the seven of us. A little steep for curious gene watching. But the prices will come down. Maybe I'll pony up the $1k for myself. Worth noting that this is not a full genome sequence. This is a genotype. Full sequencing is still out of reach for individuals... but it'll get there. I would love to have my entire sequence on a USB keychain device. Of course, there's also a bunch of research showing how flexible our genes are in actual implementation... so the notion that a rigid gene sequence represents me is already invalid. Still, it'd be cool.
