Telescope!

Big surprise today. Doorbell rings. I open the door to a four foot tall box. WTF? I haven't ordered anything lately. I ask Terp. She has no idea. I notice the word Celestron on the outside. They make telescopes!

My Mom, Dad, Mark, Jo and Jessi sent me a telescope for my birthday! Awesome! I can't tell you how often I've wanted to get one. I had one as a kid. In fact, it was the first thing I saved money for. But it broke and was lost.

As a kid my Mom took me to see Halley's Comet so she and I have always had a special astronomy bond. The scope they got me is computerized and everything! The clouds today will force me to actually read the manual... lots of buttons. More as I get this thing up and running. Thanks guys!
