A tornado rocked downtown Atlanta. I read it on Elswick's blog first and then checked cnn.com. I find it at least somewhat ironic that CNN, who can put a camera on a gnat's ass in Baghdad while its own country is bombing it, doesn't have tornado footage when the tornado hits its building! CNN Center got hit!
I woke up this morning at about 5:45am to a massive thunderclap. Immediately ripped plugs out of computers and monitors. But kept one on to watch the radars. This was a strong storm and one of the bigger cells came right through us. I had a cell phone and laptop packed in a backpack and was ready to wake up the fam in case I heard anything. Spooked for a few minutes, just because tornadoes have been hitting the area lately and I heard sirens around the house.
But it was a fast-moving storm. And now I'm up... at least for now.
