5th Wedding Anniversary, 15 Years Together
It's our 5th wedding anniversary. Or as Terp put it this morning, our 75th. Nice.
She told me that Kendy beat me to the punch with a Happy Anniversary text message. Yeah, well, did Kendy swim 50 min, do weights and then run 12 miles in the rain?!? Didn't think so.
I called her while she was dropping Aves off at school. As parents we're so amazed to see our daughter out in the wild. We want all the details... what did they do, what did they learn?
Kendy offered to take the kids for the night but I turned her down (or ignored the message, in which case I'm now turning her down... social media's so convenient. The notion of celebrating our marriage without the kids didn't seem right. Seemed kind of foreign, actually. What would we talk about? The kids. I'd rather hang with them instead of talk about them. But thanks for the offer Kendy.
Amazing how time flies. Seems like just yesterday that we got married and yet a half decade has passed. We had been dating for ten years, almost to the day, when we got married. Which means that Heather and I have been together for fifteen years. Nearing the point where it'll be half of our entire lives.
Happy Anniversary Terp. Thanks for the kids! If we could afford it I'd buy you a fork.
