40 Mile Bike Ride and 7.5 Mile Run

Got up at 5:00AM. Well, that's a lie. Alarm went off at 5:00AM and then I snoozed until 5:18AM. Got up. Drove to the head of the Silver Comet. Heather took the car and headed to the Dallas stop on the Silver Comet, 19.34 miles away. This is my time trial. A way to see how I'm doing. I shaved 1:30 off my personal best. Did it in 56:02. Not bad.

Rusty and Heather met me there and then we continued for another 23 miles. Heather pulled a strong second half to her ride and is starting to feel the power of a circular pedal stroke.

Then I went for the run. It was downhill both ways. Ran out for a half hour and then turned around. Went 3.75 miles. Turned around. Comfortable pace. Wasn't too hot today.
