1 Hr Swim, 45 Min Run
This was my first long continuous swim with my new stroke. I've been a little worried that it was going to take me a long time to build up the stamina. Well, I was able to hold the new stroke for the hour today. I focused on stroke count: 16 - 18 strokes per 25 yards. It felt good. I timed myself on 100 yarrs three times throughout the session. My first was at 1min50sec which scared me a bit. But the next two were at or below the 1min45sec that I had been doing with the old stroke. This built some confidence in the new stroke.
I struggle with balance. I never feel like I'm just swimming. I teeter forward and back. Again, likely core strength. I also struggle to not cross over when I reach forward. I think I'm improving but I'm definitely not there yet.
Leon was in the pool. Going fast as expected.
My run was great for 35 minutes. Really great. Boincy legs great. And then at 35 minutes it started to suck. My left thigh began hurting a bit and I didn't want to push it so I backed off of the workout. I hate doing that but I don't want more injury.
