78 Mile Ride

Wanted some rain and storm from Hurricane Frances. Got some wind but not much rain. Lots of debris on the trail. Cool temp. One flat tire with eight miles to go (annoying). Another big snake near the end of the trail in Rockmart... black with some diamond marking on the lower portion of its body. Heart rate wasn't going very high today. Wind was tough. Legs were a little fried. Need a rest day or two so I took it easy on this ride. I loved the overcast windy conditions... the power of nature. No breaks for first 39 miles. One break after that and then the flat. Trying to get more and more comfortable in the saddle on longer rides. Poor nutrition management on this ride.
