1Hr Continuous Swim, Pizza Ride
Nice swim this morning. Break from BillDay paid off with some refreshed arms. At each step from 30min to 60min I've done at least one workout without stopping. Today was my 1 hour nonstop flip turn swim. Felt good. Had a bunch of strength at the end and was working hard throughout.
Update 9:32PM: My first Pizza Ride! Yay! Thanks to Paul and Dana for having me along. Sorry I broke all the rules!
A group of about 60 riders leaves Avondale Pizza in Decatur, heads to Stone Mountain Park for a lap and then heads back. But I didn't know that they only did one lap so I followed some of the lead riders... namely Andres... for a second lap. I then turned to Andres and said "this is going back to the pizza shop, right?" Uh, nope.
My car was parked at Paul's place so I started to head back but I had no idea where I was going. Luckily I found Eric, a Georgia Tech alum who teaches high school physics, and he knew where to point me. He rode with me for a while and took me on a nice little detour to see some serious singletrack in the middle of the city... amazing.
I made it to downtown Decatur and then spent another 30 minutes circling to find Paul's place. I scared the heck out of everybody! Big apologies to all! This was the first ride in years that I didn't have my GPS and/or cell phone on me. Tarded!
Good ride though! Some hard. Some easy. Lots of learning! Next thursday: Pizza Ride!
