Airport Ride

First Airport Ride in about five weeks... and the peleton was mad about something today. It was big... somewhere between 120 and 200 people. And the pace was harder than normal. At least it felt that way to me.

Marc, Leslie, Aidan, Dana and I met at Panera before the ride. We drove and parked at The Carter Center where we met Remling and Matthew. From there we hit the start. Andreas was there. Dan Moss was there. Kelly was there.

I met a guy who recognized me from the site (but forgot his name... shoot me an email!). I got caught up in chatting and didn't realize that the group had split. I bridged the gap but paid the price in the form of a very non-base heart rate. But it was fun.

I felt sketchy on today's ride. Flat-spotted the new tires as somebody in front of me slammed the brakes. Matthew felt like he was in the zone. Good to get back to the Airport Ride. Average hr 136. Average power 275.
