12 Mile Morning Run in Atlanta, 6 Mile Evening Run in Connecticut
Made it to the gym early for 12 miles on the treadmill. Stepped the pace down to 7mph... about 8min34sec/mi. After a stiff beginning I loosened up and the run felt great. Heart rate early around 135bpm and late around 145bpm.
This evening, in CT, I headed out for a nice easy six miles. And after turning onto some "narrow winding roads ahead" I found six miles from hell. Holy hills batman. More workout than I wanted or expected but I made it through for 50 miles in the last 5 days.
The main reason I pushed the double today was so that I could get some solid rest in. Two days of nothing and then I hit it again with a solid next week. Only two big training weeks left. Then some higher intensity tapering. Then some sitting on arse tapering. Then a little racing. Then planning 08.
