You're probably tired of hearing about it. I'm tired of dealing with it. IT Band Friction Syndrome.
Here's my current strategy.
New shoes yesterday. I had a lot of miles on the previous ones.
I've started to stretch. I need to release the tension on the IT Band fibers so that they don't rub the outside of my knee.
Really annoying. What's odd is that I ran the Ironman and felt fine. Then I run for one hour on the treadmill and my knees kill me for two days. Literally. I couldn't walk 1/4 mile from my parked car to an office building. Every step was killing me.
I've vented. I feel better now. Lots of offseason to get better.
