First Pilates Class
Holy f'ing cow. That was hard!
I figured it'd be a couple of crunches here and there. You know... nothing too hard but generally good for me.
I was way off base. Pilates kicked my ass!
Which is great. I've known that my core is weak for a while. Now it's time to use pilates to strengthen me up.
Cameo was the instructor. She did a great job. She wasn't willing to let me rest and would give me a good shout when I needed it.
There were some standing yoga-ish poses in the beginning. I was sweating within minutes. My thighs were burning.
Then some situps. Leg ups. Tons of stuff for the core. I don't have the strength to even do most of the motions properly. That, and I'm ackwardly tall and goofy looking.
Keith and Dana were there. Keith was great. Dana was great. I sucked.
Always room to improve. What I know is that this is critical to being an all around athlete. Near the end of this season I could feel a complete lack of core strength.
So, pilates here I come.
