First Plyometrics Session

Big thanks to Keith and Dana for letting me tag along on their plyometrics session.

All I have to say is wow! My legs feel like jelly. They're shaking masses of exposed nerve cells doused in lactic acid.

Great workout. I had a rough idea of what to expect but I couldn't even guess at the intensity that Keith and Dana would bring to it. Set after set. My heart rate was north of 180 in minutes. Halfway through the first half of the session (yeah, 1/4 through the workout, if you're a math type) I didn't think I'd be able to complete. My legs were shaking all over the place and generally not responding to my brain input.

Lots of jumping, lunging. Explosive movements. Fast twitch movements. Which is exactly what I need. More and more I'm realizing how lacking I was in the core and strength departments last season.

Wow. Looking forward to more plyometrics... or, better put, looking forward to the results... the sessions themselves are painful.
