Happy New Year. I Can't Feel My Legs.

Wow, that plyometrics workout really put the work on my legs. I can barely use stairs. Getting up off the couch to scratch myself is a massive affair now. Using the toilet in the sitting configuration is painful... my quads burn as I lower myself and my butt hurts while I sit. New muscles I didn't even know I had are hurting. I haven't been this sore since my first day of soccer practice in Izmir, Turkey with that new coach (whose name I can't recall right now). Ouch. It's good though. Clearly a sign that I need to improve my fast twitch arsenal... which currently metaphoricly consists of paper clips and rubber bands.

Heather and I got in last night from the party at about 3:45AM. We stayed at Beep and Ball's. Heather was quite a trooper... the whole night sober.

We got up this morning at around 10AM and had breakfast with Beep and Ball. Then I took a shower and a nap. Then we went to Roy and Jean's for some New Year's greens. We watched the Tech basketball game. What a heartbreaker. Against Kansas who Tech beat last year in the big dance. We lead the whole game but lost momentum in the second half and tied in regulation. Overtime brought some Tech mishaps and a chance for Kansas to score. They did and we lost by two. Good game.

Heather and I got home to let the Reds out. I went out to rent some movies and buy my last culinary indulgence for a while... donuts... yummy.

We watched Garden State. Good flick. Now it's time to go to bed. A pretty good start to 2005.
