Sick Heather Update

The brunt of the cold/flu seems to have passed but Heather's not improving much. Even though she's gotten a little better and is certainly not getting worse, there's not any sort of massive recovery. She's still incapacitated in the bed sleeping 24/7 right now. The thing that's most disturbing is the way that it affects her personality. There is none. She doesn't really speak at all and only sits up for a few minutes at a time. She hates it when I bother with her, but there are things that she needs to do. Like pushing the fluids. She was finally able to hork down a cheeseburger tonight. Which is great because it's her first big calorie intake in about 36 hours. We'll balance it out with good foods but the calories alone were important. For now we're just watching her temp to make sure it stays down. She's miserable. And I hate seeing her like that. I wish there was more I could do.
